Prevention IS Care
One Test. Two Lives. (OTTL) is a health communications program developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to help obstetricians and nurse-midwives ensure that all of their patients have the opportunity to learn their HIV status as a routine part of prenatal care and to protect their newborns from HIV infection. This campaign builds on the significant progress to date in reducing mother-to-child HIV transmission, and gives providers new tools to further reduce the number of infants born with HIV. The campaign offers a variety of tools for providers, including patient education materials to help them in this effort.
