STD Program Management

CDC has published STD Program Operation Guidelines that will help public health personnel and other people involved in STD prevention design, implement, and evaluate STD prevention and control programs. This section of the NPIN site summarizes the key components of the STD Program Operation Guidelines and links to sources of additional information.

Because STD prevention programs exist in highly diverse, complex, and dynamic social health settings, the availability of resources and services will vary widely among the different project areas. Therefore, these guidelines should be adapted to local area needs.
